Jacob Suen
President and Chief Executive Officer
Jacob Suen, President and Chief Executive Officer, served as Airgain’s President since January 2019, and previously served as Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sales. He brings over 20 years of domestic and international business development and management experience to Airgain and is responsible for strategic direction at the company. Previously, Mr. Suen served numerous management positions as Director of Business Development, OEM/ODM Manager, and Regional Network Consultant for Paradyne Corporation, formerly a part of AT&T and a supplier of network equipment worldwide. While at Paradyne, Mr. Suen was responsible for reducing overall cost and improved time to market in various product lines through the ODM/OEM initiative and successfully established its very first subsidiary in China. Mr. Suen has also held various product development and engineering positions at GVN Technologies and Motorola. Mr. Suen received his M.B.A. from the University of Colorado, Masters of Electrical Engineering and Management from the University of South Florida, and B.S. in Computer and Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida.
Michael Elbaz
Chief Financial Officer and Secretary
Prior to joining Airgain, Mr. Elbaz was VP Finance at Cohu, a public semiconductor equipment company. Previously, Mr. Elbaz was VP Finance at AMN Healthcare, a public healthcare solutions company, from 2012 to 2019. He also served as VP Finance and Chief Accounting Officer at Conexant Systems, a public semiconductor company from 2009 to 2011. Prior to 2009, Mr. Elbaz held various finance leadership positions at NextWave Wireless and Conexant Systems. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from California State University, Chico and a Master of Business Administration from San Diego State University. Mr. Elbaz will be based in Airgain’s San Diego headquarters.
Ali Sadri, Ph.D.
Chief Technology Officer
Ali Sadri, Ph.D. is Airgain’s Chief Technology Officer, bringing over 25 years of advanced scientific and engineering management experience and is responsible for developing solutions to support Airgain’s current and future businesses. Prior to joining Airgain, Dr. Sadri held several executive positions at leading technology companies, and most prominently at Intel where he spent over 18 years as head of the mmWave advanced technology development group. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Engineering at SOLiD Inc. where he led the company’s mmWave product strategy and development. In addition to his professional career, Dr. Sadri serves as an industry international advisor at Tokyo Institute of Technology and earlier served as a visiting assistant professor at Duke University. Prior to Intel, Dr. Sadri held executive positions at WiGig Alliance as founder and Chairman of the Board and as Director of Communications Standards at IBM. Dr. Sadri received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with a Minor in Business from North Carolina State University and is a named inventor on over 150 domestic and international patents.
Victor Blair
Senior Vice President, Global Operations
Victor Blair joins Airgain as Senior Vice President, Global Operations and is responsible for all Airgain manufacturing, supply chain, legal compliance, and technical services support operations across the globe. He began his career with Advent Electronics, Inc., eventually rising to the positions of Chairman/President/CEO, gaining unparalleled experience in the electronics contract manufacturing space. He also served as President and CEO at Custom Cable Assembly and held senior positions at Buse Industries, PEI-Genesis, and FilConn. Throughout his time in the industry, Vic has established himself as a respected merger and acquisition professional. He is recognized amongst his peers by his relentless commitment to professional project management, risk-based thinking, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and achieving exponential improvements in corporate financial results. Driven by meeting Airgain’s customer expectations, Vic takes great pride in providing the best possible supply chain solutions available in the market.
Evan Jones
Vice President Engineering, R&D
With 30 years of engineering and wireless experience, Evan Jones leads Airgain’s global engineering teams including all applied research and development activities delivering the Company’s connectivity solutions. Prior to his current role, Evan led the global technical team that drove the adoption and integration of Sierra Wireless embedded solutions into IoT customer products. Evan’s prior career achievements include leading engineering & customer-technical teams through successful growth/acquisitions, directing multiple wireless solutions & enterprise integrations, and even pioneered the CDMA engineering program for Philips Semiconductors. Evan holds an MSEE specializing in Digital Signal Processing from the Illinois Institute of Technology, and a BSEE with an emphasis in Computer Engineering from Michigan State University.
Brian Makarowski
VP of Product Management and Product Marketing
Brian Makarowski is a seasoned technology executive with over 30 years of experience in engineering, product management and product marketing within the wireless telecommunications industry. As the Vice President of Product Management and Product Marketing at Airgain, Brian plays a pivotal role in driving the company’s mission to “Simplify Wireless Connectivity” leading the Product Management and Product Marketing teams. His responsibilities extend to fostering crucial ecosystem relationships with mobile network operators, silicon providers, and solution partners.
Before joining Airgain, Brian served as the Vice President of Product Management at Inseego where he led Product Management efforts for their consumer mobile and fixed wireless product lines and at Fibocom he led Business Development to grow market share in the fixed wireless and mobile broadband industries. His expertise also spans Consumer Electronics and Cellular IoT, gained through key roles at Sierra Wireless, u-blox , AirPrime, NETGEAR, Motorola and Denso.
John Pan
General Manager, Asia
John Pan serves as the Vice President of International Sales at Airgain, where he oversees international business development and sales management. He began his career at Maipu Communication Technology, a leading provider of enterprise-level routers and DDN network equipment for operators. Starting as a network technology expert, John steadily advanced to the role of Vice General Manager of the Telecom Department, where he was responsible for marketing, network planning, and deployment in the telecommunications operator industry.
With over 23 years of experience in the communication industry, John brings a strong technical background, exceptional marketing expertise, and proficient sales channel management skills. He holds a bachelor’s degree in communication engineering from Chengdu University of Technology and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Electronic Science and Technology.
Suzanne Zoumaras
Chief People Officer
Suzanne is an experienced human capital leader who brings more than 20 years as a Chief People/Human Resources Officer in a range of global companies from early-stage start-ups to Fortune 500 operating companies, across multiple industries including semiconductor, software, manufacturing, biopharma, data analytics/AI, digital health, and media and entertainment. Working closely with the Board and leadership teams, Suzanne is a trusted advisor and respected business co-pilot who helps companies scale, align and elevate their talent and organizational strategies and execution.
Suzanne is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Human Capital Resource Partners, a human capital and advisory services consulting firm, and over the past 15 years served as the global head of human resources at 5 public companies including Arena Pharmaceuticals, a successful pharmaceutical development company acquired by Pfizer; Teradata, a leading data analytic and AI platform provider; Atmel, a leader in silicon, software, and system solutions at the center of IoT acquired by Microchip; Entropic Communications, a pioneer in connected home communications systems acquired by Maxlinear and Biosite, a leader in cardiac and other rapid diagnostics for Point of Care acquired by Alere. For the last 15 years Suzanne has also given back to the next generation of employees as an adjunct professor in the Fowler School of Management at San Diego State University. Ms. Zoumaras received her BS in Finance from San Diego State University and an HR Certificate, Human Resources from the University of California, San Diego.
